Dubravia Will Become a Resident of the Phoenix State Industrial Park

An official signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement has been held between the Administration of the Smolensk Region and Dubravia production enterprise during the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi. The document has been signed by Governor Alexey Ostrovsky and company CEO Maxim Nechitalenko. 

It should be noted that the company’s production facilities are currently located in the Moscow Region. The enterprise specializes in woodworking, and produces import substituting products, involving modern wooden furniture and interior decorations; the goods manufactured are distributed through large retail stores and online shops within and outside Russia.

The agreement provides for the construction of a plant producing home and garden products within the Phoenix State Industrial Park. The total built-up area is expected to reach 8 thousand square metres. Implementation of this investment project within the region will foster the company’s further localization within the Smolensk Region, as well as will provide extension of the product portfolio by adding metalware production. However, Dubravia is aimed at developing export potential, in particular by entering the Chinese market.

The total amount of investments in the project is expected to exceed 180 million roubles. In addition, the project will bring over 130 new jobs. 

While commenting on the signed agreement, Governor Alexey Ostrovsky underscored its importance: “The Agreement signed today has a long-term effect not only for Dubravia, but also for the region as a whole, which means appearance of new jobs, increased tax revenues to the regional budget, as well as raising additional funds aimed to fulfill social obligations to the Smolensk citizens as directed by our President. We will provide all the necessary conditions for the business of your company to flourish within the Smolensk Region.” 

In his turn, Mr. Nechitalenko expressed gratitude to the Governor for supporting the investment project and showed interest in extending further cooperation.
