Power Plant Started Operating at Full Capacity in the Phoenix Industrial Park
The Phoenix Industrial Park`s residents are now fully provided with electricity. A digital transformer, which is the main park`s infrastructural facility, is under voltage, and is ready to provide an electricity load to the park`s residents at the lowest tariff. For example, the park`s enterprises will pay not 6 rubles per kW/h, but about 4.5 rubles for providing the average voltage level. The residents shouldn`t overpay for the transformation; they will be provided with electricity from the power center directly.
The capacity of the power plant leased to Smolenskenergo, which is a grid electricity supplier of MRSK Center JSC, is 22.25 MW. This will be enough not only to provide electricity to all industrial park`s residents, but also to new enterprises. Before the power plant`s locating in the park, there was laid a transmission line over 7 km long, and the park`s innovative power supply system can be operated remotely.
“Such a power plant like this in the Phoenix park had not been operating in the Smolensk Region for over 20 years. This is a digital and fully automatic power plant. It is a high-tech facility of the electric grid, and can provide electricity to a third of the Smolensk residents,” told Arkady Popov, the Sikam company`s Director, which is the general contractor for the park`s construction. “I believe that the start of such a power facility is a great event for the region.”
All the main works in the Phoenix State Industrial Park have been completed. In 2020, there are plans to cover with asphalt roads and to develop the territory.
“In the present, the Phoenix State Industrial Park`s site is eminently suitable for industrial manufacturing, it is among the most equipped region`s sites, which is provided with the necessary engineering capacities of electricity, gas supply, water,” told Andrey Kulichkov, General Director of the Investment Development Corporation of the Smolensk Region.
The Phoenix Industrial Park is located within the Smolensk city. Its area is 82.5 ha, the park is designed to accommodate enterprises of the IV-V hazard classes. On behalf of the Governor of the Smolensk Region Alexey Ostrovsky, there are applying significant tax benefits and simplified administrative conditions in the territory of the Phoenix industrial park:
- a land plot lease is free for the whole construction period;
- the land plots themselves are provided without bidding;
- after putting into operation, the land plot can be acquired for 25% of its cadastral value;
- for the first 10 years, there are applying 0% rate for the property, land and transport taxes, and 16.5% rate for the income tax.
